Welcome to Comic Relief's grant-making pages.
Since 1985 Comic Relief has raised nearly £500 million to tackle poverty and social injustice in the UK, Africa, and more recently in some of the poorest countries in other parts of the world.
Our grants range from a few thousand pounds to over a million pounds, but each one goes through our rigorous assessment process to ensure that the money the public donates is put to the best possible use.
We have highlighted areas of work where we feel our funding can have the biggest impact, and have therefore developed specific grants programmes for our UK and International work. Therefore we will only consider requests for funding which fall within the criteria of these programmes.
For work taking place in the UK we will consider applications from registered charities and voluntary organisations with charitable purposes.
For work in Africa or the other countries we have highlighted, we will only consider applications from UK registered charities that are working in partnership with agencies located in the relevant country.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to speculative requests for funding and can only accept applications on the relevant grant application form.
